Introduction: Joe Kwon Law's Newest Member–Andrew Whitten
Hello Everyone,
My name is Andrew Whitten and I am new here at Joe Kwon Law. As an intern with Joe, I look forward to helping Joe advocate for you and your family.
Here’s a little info about me: I am a first-year law student at Belmont University College of Law. Belmont has already taught me a great deal about the practice of law. Now, working with Joe is giving me an opportunity to see first-hand how to put my legal knowledge to work as an advocate for others.
Prior to studying law, I earned a degree in English from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. My English degree with a focus on creative writing taught me to write in a lot of different styles for a myriad of purposes. It also taught me how to be a diligent researcher. My writing background is very useful to my legal studies and to my legal work. Law is a writing-heavy field and writing persuasively is a skill that attorneys need in order to advocate for clients in legal briefs, letters, and memoranda. So, I put my writing and research skills to use every day at school, and in my work as an intern.
When I am not preparing for class, or researching and writing about a legal issue, you can probably catch me running around Nashville or at the downtown YMCA, reading a book (preferably outside in one of Nashville’s beautiful parks), or taking care of my ever-expanding collection of plants.
